How to Achieve Your Goals in 2017
Last week, I shared my goals in 2017 and I guess you probably did your own goals for this year as well. One comment that I got which I couldn’t agree more is that, “Goals are great but they are not enough. Action sets the leader part.”
This is true because we hear a lot of people talking about their New Year’s resolution but just forget about it along the way. That’s why today, I want to share some ways on how to achieve the goals you set for this year...
Write Down Your Goals
Okay, I know you heard this like a million times already but I gotta say it again here because, well, it’s very effective. I personally got a notebook just for this one, where I’m writing not just my plans and goals but also ideas coming to my head. You can write your goals in a word document but I still highly recommend going old school and writing things in a piece of paper. I don’t know about you but I can remember better the things I write in my notebook than the things I type in a Word document.
Share Your Goals to Others
If you’re like me who’s a bit reserved about personal matters, this is somewhat hard to do. However, you are more likely to achieve your goals if you share them to others because you are more accountable in reaching them - which leads me to the next point…
Find An Accountability Partner
It’s easy to get started while you are still inspired. But along the way, it might be hard to keep up. If you’re alone, it’s easy to get discouraged. So instead of doing things alone, I recommend finding an accountability partner. This way, you can help each other reach your goals. And if you’re down, your partner can be there to pull you up and vice versa.
Build A Good Habit
Achieving a goal can’t be attained by just watching inspirational videos or reading autobiographies of successful people. While inspiration is important, it’s what you do everyday that can bring you results.
You see, even if you watch a lot of Tony Robins videos but you just spend hours everyday sitting on your couch watching shows in Netflix, nothing’s gonna happen. You need to build a habit of doing something everyday to achieve your goals. In fact, you even need to sacrifice some things because you need to get something better.
Think of the Main Reasons Why Are You Doing This
While making more money is a good reason, there has to be something BIGGER than that. Money is of course important but it should just be a means for you to get what you wanted. Do you want to start your own business and finally get away from your stressful job? Do you want to retire and spend the rest of your life traveling? Do you want to give a better life to your children? I’m pretty sure you’ve got your own bigger reasons and always think of those things to keep you going when things go rough along the way.
Join A Community
I already mentioned about finding an accountability partner but if want an even bigger one, join a community of like-minded individuals. And while we’re here, I wanna mention the video marketing training and community I’m building for you this year. We already have members who are really motivated to bring their business to the next level. The goal of this training is not just to show you theories but to really push you in taking action and achieve your goals for your business...
